1. Amazon
The largest American e-Commerce company started in 1994, has rooted the Germany markets. It began as an online bookstore and now sells a variety of products covering almost everything, including electronics, fashion, home needs, and many more. In 1988, Germany ordered its first Amazon product, and from then, the journey started. Amazon in Germany never ceases to attract the users and has a rising number of online visitors every year. It also allows third-party dealers to sell their products on the Amazon platform by collecting a standard fee from them and promotes the sales of those dealers. 

2. Otto
This German brand started in 1949 as a mail service company and is striving for 60 years. Now, it has become the largest online retailer for fashion and lifestyle goods in Germany and earns almost 90% of the revenue from its direct customers online. Outside Germany, it is operating in 20 countries and has a significant brand name across the world. In 2013, Otto focused on the online furniture retail by cutting down delivery charges for bulky products and embracing the purchase. By 2018, the company gained a positive response from the online furniture buyers, which was 24% in 2014 and then increased to 48%.

3. Zalando
In 2008, Rocket Internet started Zalando, the largest online store for fashion accessories, sports goods, and beauty products was established. Since 2013 it has been partnering with the other retailers where the Swedish company Kinnevik is the primary stakeholder. It operates in more than 15 European countries and holds a remarkable position in the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and MDAX. It has expanded to the physical stores in Germany through its own logistics sites. 

4. MediaMarkt
MediaMarkt, a German company, has a history that spans 40 years. It introduced the idea of bringing the electronics products under a single brand place in 1979. More than 1000 stores of the company are operating across Europe. In 2012, the brand started the online retail store pushing its success to the digital platform. It joined with the other big brand Saturn to create the MediaMarktSaturn joint brand in 2019, advertising the two brands in one campaign. The campaign slogan was 'Germany find to find out,' drew many German customers, and set both the companies in a tech challenge.
 
5. Notebooksbilliger
Notebooksbilliger is a mail-order company that ships laptops, mobiles, and other electronic products. It was started in 1989 for software development, then it provided consultation for the network service and IT systems, and became a popular German online store for consumer electronic products in 2012. 

6. Lidl
This successful grocery hypermarket is a strong competitor of Aldi. Lidl was started in the year 1930 as a wholesale food store in Germany and has now reached 32 countries around the globe, including the United Kingdom, the United States, and other European countries. E-commerce has improved the purchase and helped the company to build a strong foothold in Germany. The company provides several discounts and offers for groceries and household goods. The fashion provider has more than 30 million customers in 30 countries in the world. Now, it is a crucial subsidiary of the Otto Group. 8. Cyberport
One of the largest electronics online retailers in Germany, Cyberport, was started in 1998. Initially, it was selling Apple computers and products, then it developed its first computer and launched the configured PCs for sale. The positive development of the company has led through time and has earned 4.8 million customers. They own 16 stores in Germany and a logistics company in Austria. It provides customer service through inbound call centers and direct expert support in the stores, making it a customer-centric company.

9. Saturn
Saturn is a popular electronics retailer operating in other European countries such as Austria, Luxembourg, and many other than Germany. It also sells electronic, media, and household products online. Almost 13 million customers visit its online platform. Since its launch in 1961 to that of the MediaMarktSaturn joint brand, it has been a preferred retail store for consumer electronics. Saturn owns the largest electronic store in the world, which is in Hamburg.

10. Alternate
Alternate is an electronics and media company that started in the year 1992, which sold electronic toys, computer hardware, household products, and garden tools. After introducing its online store in 1997, the company expanded to the neighboring countries and had set up a logistics center. Following that, the company set up a computer store with its warehouse. It is the only German company owning a sports team "Alternate Attax." The main subsidiaries are Shift IT management GmbH & Co, and KG Holding. The company earned 488.5 million euros and 712.3 million euros along with the subsidiaries in 2018.
